Although the walk is easy, there is a tricky part with stairs, where small dogs can enjoy being carried. Also, there is a metal mesh bridge near the south end of the drive that some dogs may not like, although there is an option to wade through the stream.

This walk is great any time of the year. During the warmer months, dogs tend to have more spots in the creek. However, it can be good to jump after a heavy rain, if it is likely to get muddy, the dog should be kept in a kennel, but many walkers let the dog out when there are no others around.

Note: As of March 2022, the short section of track after Federal Falls is technically closed due to rockfall. Although I have not walked the track since, many visitors have reported that this part is easy to pass.

Although most of the Prince Henry Cliff Walk is in the National Park, the area around Katoomba Falls between the old Katoomba Falls kiosk and Cliff View Lookout outside the national park, keep dogs on a leash.
