We are starting this trip in the northwest of the United States. From the green islands of Washington to the peaks of the Beartooth Highway, this area has something for everyone!

For 68 miles, between Cooke City and Red Lodge, Montana, the Beartooth Highway passes through some of the most spectacular scenery in the United States. This trail, one of the highest in the lower 48 states, passes 20 peaks that rise above 12,000 feet.
You’ll find pristine rice fields, dense forests and alpine tundra – all within a few miles. And there are plenty of places to park the car and hit the pet trail with your furry travel buddy!
The southwest leg of this American road trip begins at Carmel’s beautiful Dog Beach. The next two stops at Red Rock Canyon and Grand Canyon offer excellent hikes for pets. And we finish with a tour of the Telluride Gondola. You and your active pet will love this adventure!

Carmel’s crowning glory is the beautiful beach. This mile-long stretch of sand begins just steps from downtown and ends at the 9th hole of Pebble Beach Golf Course. And they are all pets!

It’s only 17 miles from the Las Vegas Strip, but Red Rock Canyon feels like a whole other world! From 13 miles of trails to over 30 miles of pet-friendly trails and scenic picnic areas, you’ll have a great day with your pet!

The name “White Sands” can be a little misleading, but that’s not what makes this park so beautiful! The gas dunes here are made of gypsum – not sand. And thanks to the ancient sea and very lucky geography, this is the largest garden in the world!
