When it’s time to “walk,” Turquoise Trail is one of the best dogs in town. The 14.2km route takes you past Jurien Bay Jetty and Dobbyn Park Foreshore, and offers plenty of rest stops to enjoy a drink or enjoy the sea views. If your dog needs to burn off some extra energy, look out for the marked dog exercise areas along the trail.

Located in WA’s tranquil South West, Albany is a beautiful holiday destination full of dog-friendly walking trails, restaurants, beaches and tourist attractions.
If your dog needs to burn off some energy, try a Luke’s Pen Walk along the Kalgan River. The 14.4 km return route takes you through a mixture of hemp and farmland, with stunning views. If you do it in the summer, there are some good swimming spots and the path descends slowly to the surface of the river.
If you love swimming at the beach, there are several options that are perfect for your child. Nanrup Beach and Rushey Point are off-the-beaten-track options, while parts of Emu Point Marina Beach and Middleton Beach are great places to let your pooch take a dip. Emu Point is a particularly good choice for young dogs as it is relatively shallow and well protected from the waves.
