Dog Friendly Vacations Texas

Dog Friendly Vacations Texas

Dog Friendly Vacations Texas – One of the most frequent questions I get is if the Groomers I go to in Texas are dog friendly! So I went to Hipcamp with my friends to show off some of my favorite wildlife viewing spots in Austin. And if you’re new to Hipcamp, you can sign up here for $10 off your first stay!

One of the things I love about Hipcamp is that they have a “favorites” filter that you can use to search for campsites and view them on their website or app. This makes finding pet friendly patches so much easier!

Is this the last tree to shine in Texas? Located near Bastrop in Paige, Texas, Hobbit’s Nest Guest House is a true woodland escape. As you might expect, the property is Lord of the Rings themed, with lots of decorative items bringing the Shire to life.

The 10 Best Dog Destinations For Vacations With Your Pet

And best of all, it’s one of the most dog-friendly places you’ll ever find. In fact, the owners live nearby and their two dogs roam the property and will probably come to the tree house to say hello!

There is no Wi-Fi here, but there is a grill, a toilet, a shower and a small refrigerator, so I recommend cooking on site and cutting. The sounds of nature are top-notch here, too, especially her “frog chorus,” which you can hear from the pretty flower pond overlooking the treehouse.

This bright modern retreat is located on the outskirts of Dripping Springs in the heart of the Texas Hill Country. Options at Lucky Arrow Retreat (get a $10 Hipcamp discount for new users) include yurts, cabins and lodges, depending on the size of your party and the type of experience you’re looking for. If you really want to shine, yurts are the best option for you as shown below.

Each room can accommodate two guests with access to an adjacent shared bathroom. Somewhat hotel-like are the Courtyard Cabins, Breezeway Cabins, and Hall Cabins, each of which sleeps four guests and has its own bathroom.

Texas Vacation Rentals With Pool

Although this property is dog and cat friendly, there is a $150 pet fee, which you can pay when you make your Hipcamp reservation at checkout (which also ensures you’ll be placed in a suitable for pets.

If you’ve ever wanted to sleep in a converted shipping container, you’ve come to the FlopHouze Shipping Container Hotel in Round Top, TX. Sit by the fireplace and enjoy amazing stargazing, soak in their craft pool and hit the town for antique shopping.

If you want to have some fun, reserve your spot during the Round Top Antiques Show (just book in advance because people come from all over!). And yes, pets are allowed for free!

Located near Bastrop, The Reserve at Greenleaf has four luxury yurts to choose from. If you’re bringing your pet, her pet-friendly yurt is The Copper Lily ($10 off Hipcamp for new users).

Top Dog Friendly Vacation Destinations

The yurt can accommodate up to 4 guests and features amenities such as a full-sized bathroom and access to miles of hiking trails. They even offer a guided walking tour for $25 more at checkout. They also have things like kayak rentals available upon request!

Ranch 3232 offers unique Texas Hill Country lodging with cabin rentals, air-conditioned viewing tents, RVs, campers and even a gypsy wagon ($10 Hipcamp discount for new users). The property is also conveniently located in Johnson City, just 1.5 miles from Pedernales Falls State Park, perfect if you want to hike and explore the state park during your stay.

My favorite is the Bird House, their little cabin, though I only recommend it for solo (+dog) stays. It’s too small! If you’re looking for something bigger, cabins are a great option. As of this writing, their tents do not allow dogs.

It’s always a good idea to check which rooms in each location allow pets, as sometimes not all rooms in a property and rules can change!

Best Dog Friendly Campgrounds In The U.s

Located on Lake Bastrop, GLAT Austin features luxury safari-style tents that can accommodate 3-6 guests depending on the tent you choose ($10 Hipcamp discount for new users). They also have several cabins with private bathrooms, in addition to other amenities like a fire pit in every room on the property.

A gorgeous quarry in Canyon Lake, TX is the perfect place to stay if you plan to go tubing in the summer! Their accommodations range from cabins, teepees, tents, and cozy cabins to RVs and tent sites (Earn $10 on Hipcamp for new users). You can relax by the pool, go tubing on the nearby Guadalupe River, attend a concert at the Whitewater Amphitheater, or spend the day at Canyon Lake.

If you filter by pets allowed, you’ll see that they have several dog-friendly accommodations, including safari lodges (my personal favorite), premium cabins, and suites.

One of my favorite things about Mystic Quarry? Set on 10 acres with fun amenities like beach volleyball, lawn games, community pool, walking trails, playgrounds, dog pool and dog parks and more. You can read more about their dog policy here.
