We offer comfortable accommodations for your dog in the Rangeley Lake Room, Moosehead Lake Room, Winter Harbor Suite, and Eagle’s Nest Cabin. Out of respect for our guests who are particularly sensitive to fur and dog hair, dog visits are limited to the three rooms on the second floor and the bathroom. Additionally, dogs are not allowed on the third floor of the guest house. According to Maine state restaurant laws, dogs are not allowed in the dining room. I’m in Maine right now and we’ve been here for about a month riding out the COVID19 storm from the big lake house. (yes! and extended vacation for me! Too bad one still has to work remotely LOL)

Space! it was one block from the harbor with tons of places to eat out (but we did the responsible thing and got food).
Roof top! this was one of my favorites. all the tables and chairs were set aside for a communal area, which gave me room to run around, smell people’s feet, and ask for belly rubs. Many STOMACHES are scratching!
Oh, and someone said, “AND THAT VIEW! I mean, just look at that!” so the view from the bar was very nice. I wasn’t paying attention because I was too concerned with getting attention and ordering bacon rata when no one was looking, but you know.
And food! the food was delicious. the restaurant and breakfast was closed due to COVID19, but they made up for it for us (and all other hotel guests!) by preparing a delicious breakfast every morning and bringing them right to our door. I made sure to find every option because, well, why?!

The food, the people, the bellies, the treats they gave the dogs, being on the first floor so the journeys don’t take long, the view from our balcony from the room where we were staying people/dog it was looking like , hurrssss and… um… everything! it was easy.

Yay for dog beaches! we sat and watched the boats come in for hours. I rolled around in the sand and got as dirty as I could. it was amazing.
We went around the mask center (ok the person had a mask I’m too cute to wear one LOL jk dogs don’t get corona you stupid goose) we searched some shops that weren’t busy yet.

The hotel gave me a gift card to this local pet store called Loyal Biscuit, so of course we had to go so I could pick out a new toy!
That person insisted that we get a gift too. I chose a yellow fish stuffed with a kitten and a crab toy that smelled good for me.
It was nice to get away and be in a new place for a while! Camden, Maine is a beautiful, pet-friendly beach town that we highly recommend visiting for anyone with pups!
Note: depending on where you live, you may have to wait until the craziness of COVID19 is over to visit Camden. but if you live in Maine or another New England state, you should be fine! Just remember to follow social distancing guidelines and bring plenty of masks. if you forget to use it, people will give you the bad eye there. so keep them with you at all times so you don’t look like a villain. You want to vacation in Maine, but breeding Fida is a problem. Or finding cat food can be a pain! Good news – Maine is one of the pet-friendly states, even in a bustling beach town. Many Maine Resorts and lodgings now have dogs and cats.
