• Alpenhof Lodge: Two pets up to 50 pounds, per night for an additional fee of $30 per pet. Pet-friendly rooms are limited.

• Inn on the Creek: Up to two pets welcome; A fee of $25 per day is added to your room rate.

• Snow King Resort: No weight limits or breed restrictions; Maximum of two pets per room. Families are only allowed in hotel guest rooms, not condo units.

Pets are not allowed in your hotel room. If you don’t want to take them with you for the day, they can enjoy some stimulation from four-legged friends and other people during the day or for a special dog escape at night. You can also find family-friendly accommodations in Grand Teton National Park, such as Jackson Lake Lodge & Cottages, Colter Bay Village Cabins, and Ten Cabin, as well as park-operated campgrounds and RV parks.

When it comes to traveling in Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks, a good rule of thumb is that an animal can go anywhere a car can go (roads, campgrounds, picnic areas) as long as they are sheltered. Dogs are not allowed in any of the parks on unpaved paths, limiting the number of walks and day trips visitors can take while visiting the area.  

Many restaurants/cafes around Jackson have dog friendly during the summer months, such as Café Genevieve, Cowboy Coffee, Cutty’s Bar and Grill, Silver Dollar Bar and Grill, Bubba’s Bar-B-Q and Sidewinders.

Dogs must be leashed on all trails and are not allowed in city parks. However, there are a variety of dog-friendly areas throughout the Jackson Hole area that are easily identified by PAWS bag distributors at trailheads.

Favorite places to test your dog include Emily Pond on the Snake River and the south side of the Westbank River Dike. These locations are located on both sides of the Snake River – with incredible views of the Tetons – and can be accessed on HWY 22 as you head towards Teton Village and Wilson. Cache Creek has an extensive network of trails not far from the Snow King base area and is one of the most popular places for locals and visitors to walk their dogs. There are places throughout the valley, including the Bridger Teton National Forest, that have set up campsites and your dog will have some freedom to roam. However, for the safety of your dog and wildlife crossing, it is important to keep your dog on your site and under command at all times.
